Google Books
Have you given Google's book site a browse? It's not quite the same as wandering through Powell's World of Books, but it's interesting none-the-less.
They're pretty good at following copyright laws it seems. A search for "C.S. Lewis" reveals only preview portions of the famous author's writings. If you click the radio button for "full view books" then you get an entirely different set of search results, most of which are not relevant to what I am looking for.
I think this is pretty interesting and I'm sure I'm going to poke around quite a bit to get ideas for reads, but as geeky as I am, I still cannot pass on the fully tactile experience of a published book. What about you...do you read on the computer or do you prefer the printing press?
