Pre-Order Vista?

Amazon is advertising a pre-sale for Windows Vista operating system…suspected to be released on January 2007.  I think it’s a little strange that they are pre-selling this item, it’s not like there will be a shortage.  Amazon must be pretty danged assured that it will be released on time, Microsoft has already pushed back this release several times. I wonder what the charity licensing prices will be…

So are you planning on pre-ordering Vista?

Word I’ve heard says to keep your Windows XP machine, and wait to get Vista preloaded on a new one.

You really are a Microsoft junkie, aren’t you? :o )

Rick, I actually am not going to pre-order Vista for a number of reasons. 1) I rarely pre-order anything, I think it’s a waste of time. I’m more patient. 2) I will be running the Betas and RCs up to the release date, so it’s not like I haven’t seen it 3) If I pre-order through Amazon I won’t get charity pricing. I’m too frugal to not wait for that. :) But yes, I am a Microsoft junkie still. It’s too easy to take pot shots at them all the time, that is what most geeks do, but I for one think they produce excellent products. :P
