The End Of Drunk Emailing?

Google is introducing an interesting new feature to their Gmail…math.

Apparently the working class digerati are notorious enough for sending late night emails while tipsy (especially the Brits) that Google felt it worthy to add some complexity to the process of sending email.  So now (during certain hours…late night and weekends…) you will be required to solve a few moderately complex math problems before the mail will send.

Wow.  I’m not even sure what to say about that.  You can read more info on TechCrunch.

Hahaha, this is great. Might prevent a lot of break-ups. Hopefully I will be able to solve them sober

Wow, actually it may serve a duel purpose and keep idiots at bay as well, it they throw a little long division in there I may be out of the email game for good!
On another note, instead of worrying about drunk emailing how about focusing on stopping spammers, other than filtering! :) great article! thanks!

maybe at&t can do something like that with drunk texting/dialing. :)

@kim seriously! I think texting is a bigger problem. Maybe some bright chap out there should build an iPhone app that hooks up to a Bluetooth breathalyzer. ;)

Google must be a fun place to work at. I guess a Google bash got out of hand and the Google team was like “We have to protect our name” :)

Man, this company is amazing! Love it :)
